Iris studio location and helpful session information......
Im so glad we crossed paths and Im so excited to work together to capture some captivating photos of your iris!!!
I created this page to help you find me a little easier and to have useful information to find my studio and the easiest way to get to my suite.
The official address to the studio is 124 S Fairfield Rd, Layton Utah 84041 if you are hand typing into your GPS app it helps to leave off the suite number as that has caused some navigation issues for a couple clients in the past, or you can click this google maps navigation link and verify it is directing you to the screenshot seen below this text.
The screenshot is an aerial view of the building where my studio is located. I have drawn a couple of arrows showing the entrances that lead to me. You are free to park in any open stall surrounding the building that isn't marked Reserved.
Both entrances are easiest accessed from the back of the building (west side).
The first entrance is marked entrance A, and is on the south side of the building down the ramp to the bottom floor, I am on that lower floor suite A105 which is just past the sitting areas to the second hallway, turn left and I am the first door on the left.
The second entrance is marked entrance B, and is up a small flight of stairs, through the glass door, and then down two flights of stairs that leads you to my hallway.
SATURDAY SESSIONS PLEASE NOTE THAT ENTRANCE B IS CLOSED ON SATURDAYS SO PLEASE USE ENTRANCE A DOWN THE RAMP.
Please note that entrance B locks at 5 PM Monday thru Friday and entrance A stays unlocked until 8 PM, so the ramp via exit A is usually the best option, but feel free to call me on my cell phone 801.589.6292 if you get lost or need further assistance.
When you arrive we will spend a few minutes filling out a short form on my iPad and picking out any artistic designs you want to purchase then it's time to select which eye you want photographed.
I hand built my very own iris viewing station complete with bright led lights and a magnifying mirror, so you can inspect in great detail both of your irises so you can choose if you would like your left or right iris photographed for your session, the viewing station will help you pick out any unique characteristics that might stand out. After you know which eye you want photographed, we will begin taking the photos.
After your session, it takes me about 60-75 minutes per eye to complete the editing depending on how well your iris was exposed and how many images I need to piece together. This includes removing any eyelash reflections, blending your images together, isolating the iris onto the black background, completing any artistic iris designs, and preparing your gallery etc etc.
I try to block off ample time after each session so I can get your edits done same day but sometimes it may take me a day or two during slow season to get your gallery delivered and during busy holiday seasons, it could take up to a week depending on workload for your gallery to be finished, but I promise to get them done as soon as possible as I know you'll be anxiously awaiting and excited to see your images.
After the gallery is uploaded, you'll receive an email with your download pin to download the digital images that were included in your package and will be able to view your iris in watermarked artistic design upgrades available for purchase. There is also a built in store in your gallery that allows you to order prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, and so much more, and your order gets shipped right to your front door.
