Utah Iris Viewer 2.0
Yes finally checked this off my project list that I’ve wanted to complete for many months now.
Finally finished and assembled iris viewer 2.0
Iris viewer 1.0 was smaller as a framed 13x19 and more plain and flimsy and the mount didn’t fit the pole so it was wobbly.
Iris viewer 2.0 is larger 17x23 framed and matted to display my original 13x19 print, and I added some artwork on the left and right of the mirror, used a much sturdier mount that was not only Velcro’d but also screw mounted to the frame, and instead of mounting around the pole it mounted to the top of the pole securely and has a new and improved swivel mount, making it solid as a rock.
Who knows, maybe someday I’ll create iris viewer 3.0 but for now im super happy with this upgraded new and improved version and can’t wait to start taking it to events to have an interactive display to get people engaged and talking to me.

Also if you are an iris photographer looking for inspiration and the tools to build your own, here are some amazon links for all the pieces I used to pull this together as a DIY project. I attached the mirror to the print with velcro and also secured the mount to the back of the frame with the velcro and used the short screws to give it just a little extra security without driving the screws through the front of the print. I designed the 13x19 print in Photoshop and then printed it on my Epson ET-8550 Printer using Red River 13x19 Luster paper although I think Im gonna buy some fine art velvet paper and reprint it so that it doesn't fingerprint as easily when transporting.
